My driverside wheel bearing is on its way out, this will be replacement number 7 (between both sides).

I always replace both seals, and I recently replaced the axles because the seal face on my original axles were pretty chewed up.

Has anyone replaced more than me?!

I've owned the truck for less than 3 years.

Engage Long Travel 6 over with race spindles. 2.5x8 sway a ways wrapped in King Coils.
Are you going through Toyota for them?
I reccomend buying from one of the two vendors on this site. They sell the complete hub assembly's.

I know right, where I live it's fairly wet and muddy. It chews up wheel bearings!

I buy the seals from Toyota and my bearings are normally SFK (or whatever it is) or Timken.

I thought about ordering the assembly, but I'm canadian and between shipping and stuff I wouldn't safe any.

Then seal setup is garbage. And I can't say I'm doing anything wrong aside from wheeling the truck. It gets soaked up to the hubs in water more often than not, and my dad presses the hubs in for me. He's been a Toyota tech since 92, I imagine he's doing things right.

Well, I do all the grunt work and he presses the hub in for me. The press I have at work isn't capable of pressing the hub out of the bearing!

What were your symptoms? Ive got a 2015 with 19K miles on it and Im getting the slightest 'howling' at speeds above 35 MPH. I cant tell if its tire noise, bearing or just a Tacoma thing.

I normally can't hear any howling because of my tires. But since I have my winters on I could hear howling and when I turned right it would go away.

Normally I just shake my wheels (like I'm checking for balljoint play) every time I do an oil change, or any other reason the tires aren't on the ground.

You haven't mentioned the O-rings. Have you replaced them? It goes on the bearing assembly when you bolt it to the knuckle. I even put a dab of gasket sealant on both sides of the brake dust shield to help keep water out.
