How about the pricing? Anyone from Dallas-Fort Worth that has recent experience in purchasing a new Tacoma?

Absolutely!!! Love the dual climate control & heated seats! Sunroof is a plus plus sliding rear! My TRD offroad 4x4 has everything except JBL. Got it for $34800plus TTL but mine is 6spd. Good luck with yours

Me too man, I use most of the tech package everyday in some way. Could I live without it? Yes, no problem but, I had the chance to upgrade so I did. And to me it's worth the extra cost.

    Edited for, I can't English.

Not worth it to me. All that tech stuff makes you a worse driver who is more reliant on technology. It's not that hard to rotate your head. Or better yet pay attention!

Heated seats would be nice and should be standard in cold areas. Almost everyone I know opens the sunroof when they first get the car and never use it after that. YMMV

Sensors are expensive. Especially when they fail out of warranty.
The moon roof reduces head room alot!
    Dual climate, meh.
The only thing i would really miss in the tech is the ehated seats.

    So i passed.

Did a dc offroad short bed. Bare min plus tow.

I am from the Shreveport area. I bought a 2016 about a year ago when the demand was high and supply was short. The two local Shreveport/Bossier City Toyota dealers offered me $100 and $200 off sticker price respectively.

Over the phone I was able to negotiate the same truck for about $1900 off sticker at Cowboy Toyota. I don't recall the exact numbers, but my loaded out double cab, TRD Off road stickered at a tad over $39K and I got it for a little over $37k. I made the 3 hour drive and bought the truck.

I purchased in Burleson. Your price is fair and on the low end actually. I didnt want to pay 2k+ more for those features. The only thing we would have wanted was the auto/dual zone AC. That's a nice option but we didnt care about anything else.

^^^ This. I really didn't like the headroom with the moonroof at only 6'1", can't imagine how people taller than me deal with it. Had to special order my DCLB TRDOR without P&T as every dealer that had the DCLB had the P&T and wanted $38K for it. For the same $2400 I got an ARE shell with all options (vented windoors, LED lighting, headliner, rack mounts, tilting slider, etc...) and Clazzio leather heated seat covers, which were more important to me than the other P&T gizmos. All I wanted in the P&T was heated seats, and now I've got them.

Only sensor I miss is the backup, but still have the camera and it works great. When I drive my Dad's Tundra with all that stuff the nanny aspect of it annoys me.

I like it more now that I have it, in my opinion, (which I know vary greatly on this forum) extra safety gear is never a bad thing. I especially like the rear cross traffic alert, it picks up any movement, not just vehicles, but pedestrians, helpful backing out of parking lots if you have large vans or SUVs parked next to you.

The most important thing on the Off Road though, paint matched bumper!

Definitely worth it. I went to the dealership looking for a magnetic gray TRD off road with just the base package and then saw a double cab TRD off road in quicksand with premium and technology package. I was sold.

Does anyone know if the lighting gets upgraded at all? It looks like I have projector style headlights and also have the led bars that are part of the headlight. Wasn't sure if all the tacomas were this way.

I like the rear cross traffic alert ... no matter how careful you think you are, this really works. Especially with pedestrians. Heated seats are also good. I wouldn't have ordered a sunroof, but find I like it a lot. Blind spot monitor is less effective than the rear traffic alert, I'd take it or leave it and it won't work with aftermarket bumpers. No power window on my '16 .... I think I'd really like that. I also have JBL and wish I didn't. I don't care about the audio, andI hate how much behind-the-seat storage it takes up for the woofer and amp.

It is worth it, I picked mine up with premium tech and JBL

I'm 6'1 and with a hat on it is pretty close to touching the headliner, but I don't mind

The tech comes in handy, especially when backing out. It alerts you of an incoming car you might possibly back into.

Blind spot monitors are a plus but I still drive with mirrors

Would recommend JBL too my truck bumps hard:thumbsup:

Tech package was very important to me. The backup sensor and sunroof are the main reasons.

Didn't want a sunroof so I did not get the tech.. I do wish I had the climate screen as the knobs are sometimes hard to see
