We have had a set on our 4runner that we used to own. They were decent, not the best in snow but still did ok. pretty quiet ride and good mileage, we got just over what they were rated at. I forget if it was 50,000 mile wear or 60K we did get over the mileage on the tires though. 90% was highway/street miles.

The ATS is the old style and being fazed out. Their new tire, the G015 AT is far better in my opinion.

    I've found a geolander A-T-S GO15. I guess that's the new model then?

Guess you wouldn't know what they'd be like in the snow in Georgia though?

IMO, the BF Goodrich ko2 did better in snow, ice, mud than the Geolander ats but not by much. Geolander did good offroad. However the Geolander ats has better traction on wet/dry roads. The Geolander ats is a little lighter tire than ko2.

I heard goodyear duratrac might be a good snow tire.

I ordered a set of Yoko Geos from Discount tire several years ago. I could tell they were soft when I rolled them away from the UPS truck. They rode soft as well. I live down a rocky flint rock road. Within 1 week, 1 of them was cut all the way thru the center of the tread blocks thru the carcass ~3" long, not repairable. I returned them to DT and replaced them with Michelins.

I've run some cheapo tires over the 20yrs I've driven my road but I've never cut a brand new tire thru the tread blocks like that. Way too soft for me.
