I had a bad center bearing on the driveshaft of my 2003 tacoma 2.7L. I swapped the bearing out, and when I pulled it out of the shop, thereally is now a binding/popping noise coming from the rear-end. I have no idea what it could be. I retorqued everything and made sure everything was put back on evenly. The popping is not rotational and it sounds like it's coming from the read end. Any ideas or suggestions as to what it could be or what to check?

If you paid a shop to do the work, take it back.

They might not have aligned the u-joints properly when they re-installed the drive-shaft.

Jack it up and put it on jackstands and idle vehicle in gear. Look underneath and try to pin point noise.
