My grandfather is really into woodworking and enjoys a challenge. I was in need of a workbench, but didn't have the time to put aside to build one. As a result, I'm getting a quality built workbench! Here are a few pictures of the frame and general look. There are a few things I'm going to add (pegboard and outlets), but I'm overall impressed. Now, let's see yours!

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
This should be good. I'll try to get some of mine.

I'm building a shop in what used to be my carport. Haven't gotten to the work bench yet so I'll be checking in here for new ideas. Good idea for a thread op

That would have been ever better but my carport roof is so low that I can't even drive my truck in with my rtt on it so making the entry any lower is a no go

Well, it's been a while since I've been in the garage. But I went out there to take a picture, and now realize that it's a complete disaster. So..... Looks like I know what's on my list for tomorrow.

I need to dig off about 12" of accumulated shit to show you my bench:D. I suffer from some ailment that forces me to immediately put shit on any flat open surface in my shop, but if you could see it, it's a nice 4x10 x 3/4" welding table.

I have two. Long stories, but both are quite old. One was a partial kit (legs) the other I converted to a workbench from it's former life as a portable cooking demo table.

Both are quite robust, but so filled at the moment I refuse to show them :anonymous:

60 inch Milwaukee. And the other one I made out of an old kitchen island countertop. Made the blue vise back in metals class 20 years ago.

All right, found one. It's pretty clean in this one because I'm on a projectDSCN3651.jpg . Usually it a few hour job to actually get it back to "workbench" condition.

I've heard of making your own bench, but never making your own vise. That's freakin BA man. Also your work area pleases my OCD more than you could ever imagine.
