Really happy with the brush guard by AvidOffRoad.
The top pics show how much needs to be trimmed.
And its highly recommended to remove the grill and
    wind vanes for accessibility/install.

Oh and by the way. Its not difficult to do this without
    help. I did.

Looking to grab one of these without lights, curious about the following:
    -Weight (without light bar)
    -Impact on noise inside cabin
-Any noticeable drop in efficiency? (MPG)

    Thanks guys!

-Weight ...not sure, I'd like to know that myself
-Noise...none (I also had one on my '13 Tacoma)
    -MPG...nothing noticeable

We offer 2 different rigids for that light bar. We could've totally got you set up. Let me know if you have questions.

I ended up going with a Cali Raised 32" combo beam. I had the light bar before the guard. I had to really wedge it between the tabs, but she fits and she is bright as all hell!

Just wanted to update all the 3rd gen FBG owners that we will be releasing a RBG with and without backup sensors soon.

We will be kicking it off with a group buy as well.

    Stay tuned!

....you have my attention. How strong will this be? Enough to survive being lightly rear ended by an explorer at a stop sign (asking for a friend)?

Suggestion: Is it possible to offer an option that is coated in Line-X Rather than just a powder coat?

Id be happy to look into that as an option for sure. As for strength, our FBG has held up pretty well in accidents against rocks, but I cant recall seeing our 2nd gen RBG in an accident. The 3rd gen RBG is very similar to the 2nd. Its been such a popular piece and we felt it was a nice compliment to the FBG.

Keep it simple stupid is the saying, and I couldn't agree more.

Let me talk to the boss about it and ill get back to you.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

The line X option is one that typically the customer does locally when they receive the bare metal product from us. We have a place locally, but the cost is too great and the risk associated if it shows up damaged from shipping. We have different textures of PC that we are looking into that are more like LineX.

As for the strength of the product from what Brandon was telling me is that at least once a month we get a call from an owner to replace one and ship it to a body shop. In every instance the customer claimed that the guard saved them from more damage.
Im sure if we polled the customers that have been in accidents with these, they would agree.

    That's good to know, thanks.

I expected that the line-x thing would be a local thing. Gets expensive though... about $700 to do the FBG and bolt on rails.
Either way, I am looking forward to seeing how this thing looks on the gen 3's.
