Never used one, but many people on Autogeekonline do. Should be fine for occasional use. Plenty enough power to get it done.

This might be a dumb question but after washing my dirty black truck a couple of times my microfiber troweled are heavily stained. I wash them in the washing machine after I wash my truck. Does it matter if my towels are stained? I want to know to make sure that I am taking care of my paint the right way.

Not sure to ask this question here but...............Is it common practice now for body shops requiring an appt in order to get an estimate. I am used to "old school" driving up and saying I need an estimate. The two places I am looking into both require an appt..

Then you are not properly washing the truck. I'm assuming you are talking about drying towels and not washing the truck with towels.

Anyone here know how to remove the drivers side door handle to polish under it with a machine?

My drivers side is horrible because the guy who owned it before me was a certified bafoon. Only a machine will get the scratches out.

Actually I meant my microfiber wash mit is stained. If I cannot get the stains out is it still ok to use?

I would say I think it depends on how bad. Good microfiber towels will latch onto dirt and grime and not let it go. I've heard of some people having towels that if they were drop on the ground they have to throw away.

What kind of mitt is it?

Try soaking it in a microfiber soap and bucket of water for a while. Maybe throw in a tad of Dawn soap. Then wash it on hot in the washer and air dry.

Just buy another one and use that one on your wheels. I wash my microfiber mitt in the washer (alone) after every wash. On sale now.

It snowed today and the truck had ice and wet heavy snow on it. I let it warm up then using a foam snow broom (no bristles no plastic) I cleaned it, without touching the paint. But all of my efforts didn't help and the snow slid like ice sheets off the roof/hood panels. After coming back and upon closer inspection I found multiple scratches, none that catch the fingernail though fairly large. Do I need ultimate compound? Polish? 205? I have no idea. The truck was waxed 3 weeks ago with colonite (1 coat). I have no access to a power outlet to use a DA or anything like that so I'll be working by hand. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

You have a TRD Pro, do you not have a bed outlet? o_O

Its going to be very difficult to polish out noticable scratches without a polisher. I'd say don't get too OCD about it and once a year pay someone to do a complete exterior detail.

I do have that outlet, I just can never tell what I can run off of it! Okay maybe I'll invest in a dual orbital or buffer and go to town!

I coat them with sealer every time I apply and also wax every wash to help protect from UV.

Anyone use Klasse All In One? Is it better to follow with Klasse Sealant or a wax, or follow with the sealant and then a wax on top of that?

Don't know if it's been covered, but any suggestions for a good,m and relatively simple way to clean the upholstery in a 2006 OR? I have what looks like water stains on the back seat from a dripping water container, nothing major but it looks kinda icky. Best way to clean the seats?

Do you have a DA polisher? They make brush attachments to clean carpet and upolstry. Easier than scrubbing till your arm falls off.

I just cleaned my seats with some cheap foam cleaner and sprayed on Scotch Guard as I'm about ready to install leather seat covers. I want the seats perfectly clean beforehand, but mine is a 2013 so less years of grime. But they cleaned up fine.
