    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
    the case is hardened steel, that brass shouldnt damage the threads. If for some reason it ever has to come out, and I need to, I can re-tap when I change gear oil. No biggie.

    Very true. My fitting wasn't brass. Still not a fan of cross threading ANYTHING in any instance.

    Possibility the DYF kit may not be metric threads, where the diff housing is. Everett can speak to that. Hard cast housing should tap it's own threads on fitting. No need for thread locker....

    The brass push-lock fitting is 1/8npt, your housing is metric fine-thread. The npt fitting will seal with included thread sealer and will not damage the housing threads. Just don't over torque it as it is brass and will break :)

    whats the plan for fire wood? I am not planning on bringing any with me. I am just hoping to come across some local for sale once we get down there. I am sure we can burn up a lot of fire wood at night drinking by the fire(s)

    I couldn't get anywhere with it fellas. I gave up, not in my nature. I was getting hangry too.
    I can see about some broken pallets at work this week.
    Otherwise, bringing my ax and I can swing it like it's my job! It's kinda what I do when camping with my buddies :) They saw it, I split it.
