My son has a 97 extra cab Tacoma, 4x4, stick, new front springs, new cat, magna flow muffler, tinted windows, new shocks, new brakes, new head last fall, and ect. 2.7 4cyl. has salvage title. Then last week bottom end knock. We don't have time to fix. What's it worth. Need to sell to put down payment on new pickup. Thanx for the help.

Wild ass guess, but around here, those go for about 5k, in good running condition.
With a bad motor, about half that.

salvage title and bad motor? Junkyard scrap or part out.
If it only has a salvage title, it's not even street legal. Maybe you meant, rebuild title?

It really depends on where you're at. I'd only part out if I was in a hot bed area for Tacomas. It's been my experience in this free shipping world that people think Joe Blows are like Amazon and can ship third members n' such for free. In some cases you're better off just selling the whole truck unless you want your house to look like Sanford and Son and you get every cheap skate in the land wanting to buy silly things like door handles for $2.50 after you pull em.
