Bad battery corrosion on the wife's car.

Went to undo the terminal clamp.....and it broke!

So, replaced the terminal, replaced the battery.....but the battery light stays on. Alternator??

Clean and tighten the terminals. Clean and check your ground. Check charging system. Might be alternator but I'm guess if that light wasn't on before, something else is your problem.

So when the problem started, she was driving and the battery light came on, then the radio cut out. She parked and the cluster lit up like a tree and the car died.

With the new battery, just the battery light stays on, but car is running fine.

That's pretty much what I ended up doing, needed new leaf springs, which the needed new rear shocks, which also then needed new front shocks, which also needed UCAs, and brake lines all around.

I did front and rear two different days, it can definitely be done in one as long as you are able to avoid some hangups. For me the parts I struggled with the most were the brake lines and the UCA's. Make sure you have a quality good-fitting flange-nut wrench for the brake lines and use penetrating oil hours—if not a day in advance. For the UCA's you definitely want a large strong set of pliers for bending the metal well the get the bolt out and back in.

You're not far from me so I might be able to come lend a hand depending on when you plan to do the work.

Check the charging system. Might be over-voltage or something else related.
