    I am slacking on maintaining the list but I promise I will run enough to cover ALL who are interested. I bang them out pretty quick once they're running but I have to give priority to the clientele that pay my rent, therefore these get run in the evening when I can.

    Regardless of what you call "it", it's very nice and I'm definitely interested in a pair. I'm hoping some of your early adopters can advise on how well a tablet would be supported. I totally agree with you about the dash being the weakest link.

    I wonder if applying an addhesive to the backing plate would help increase the strength a bit to hold a heavier object like a tablet... instead of relying solely on the compression to secure it...probably not necessary but couldn't hurt either.

    Good ol' DST will be included. That's how I reassembled mine. @EDDO was able to reach up behind the dash for the passenger side to forego the tape.

    First off, thanks to Jon for sharing this excellent and extremely well-executed design with us. He is the real deal and an excellent dude.

    Installation notes (passenger side only):

    Contrary to what I thought originally, there are no shortcuts to putting these in. I tried going through the glovebox (with it and the internal upper panel removed) and discovered that there is no way to get the adhesive-backed plate in position that way even with the new holes pre-drilled in-place in the truck. Tear the dash apart following Jon's instructions; not a lot of fun if you haven't done it before.

    Note - #7 drill = 13/64 for those of us who don't speak machine. :D

    And now for the design change suggestion: Make the backing plate threaded. I love nylocks and overkill as much as the next guy, but I managed to dislodge one during final installation, which necessitated getting behind it with a 3/8 wrench through the glovebox. It re-seated in the plate without much effort but added a tiny amount of pain and suffering.

    Highly recommend. And Jon has some other really cool custom machined stuff on his truck!

    I was afraid dropping a nut might happen and my apologies for it. This is not the tail light guarantee so I will heed your advice and will make the change. Tapped backing plates it shall be and when your ready they will be waiting for you.

    No need for an apology. This thing is stellar. Road test this morning over some of our magnificent roads confirms that this mount is every bit as solid as the dash. Even with my E rated tires and really stiff suspension. Thanks again!

    I don't now how you're going to sell them, but I don't need a pair.
    I don't think you need to have to get into left or left or right.
    If you countersink both sides then they be ambidextrous!
    I'm only looking for a right side.
    The only thing I mount is my phone/GPS.

    Leave it black. Anyone knows where to get black finish screws? The pics are great and the silver heads if the screws could be different. Not a deal breaker. Just curious if there are black finished screws out in the market.
