my first truck

How's it going guys. After years of always wanting a 01-04 double cab I finally picked one up this past weekend. I have been into Volkswagens my entire life and up until a few weeks ago have been daily driving a bagged 96' VR6 jetta the last 4 years.

I'm always up searching craigslist when I should be asleep and thats when I came across this little gem. It had been online for 13 hours when I saw the ad, however the guy didn't leave a number so I franticly emailed him twice hoping to get a reply the next day.

The next morning we met up... He was asking $9500, the truck has a clean title and 128,000k. He purchased the truck from a local dealer 7 years ago with around 67k and was primarily used on the hwy for getting to and from work. The seller was honest and said he didn't know much about cars and had never done anything except routine oil changes.

I talked him down to $8000 due to it needs a timing belt, valve cover gaskets were seeping a little, and the driver side has quite a bit of faded paint. Other than that the interior is clean and I couldn't find any rust on the frame rails. I LOVE my Taco!
