First, I did do a search but the thread that I found seemed to be more on aftermarket installation.

My 07 double cab SR5 TRD has heated leather seats. The driver's side only works on "Low". On the switch, the 'high side' LED doesn't light. I have not taken this apart yet, am at the 'research' stage... has anyone dealt with this before and have a likely cure?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't have heated seats, but if you can pop the switches out, I would swap the pass and drivers side switches. If the pass side now only works on low, then its a bad switch.

Heated leather seats on a 2007 SR5 would be aftermarket not factory. So I would find out who did the aftermarket seats (company) and go from there.

I installed heated seat/s in my 2007. This might help give into taking the leather off and taking a peek at what's underneath.

.. are you sure they're tacoma seats and not something out of another vehicle/toyota?

I have factory heated "P"leather seats in my 2010 and have the same problem with the drivers seat . Somebody needs to do a write up because the information isn't in any factory repair manuals that I have looked at . I cant even find a schematic for the wiring . Although diagnosis is fairly simple , it would be great if we had this information with some pictures of the job posted up at TW.
During the winter months , I see this factory heated seat question pop up at least 3 times a month .
If it wasn't 50 below zero here , I would tackle the write up myself

Pretty sure the Canadian models have heated seats.

    OP, you in Canada?

I am not in Canada, but I'm only a few hours away... Original owner blinged this truck out fairly completely, so who knows what he had done or ordered originally. Definitely Tacoma seats...I test drove a different one, same seats, but cloth. I hate cloth seats, mostly because I have a big dog and his hair sticks to the cloth seats like you wouldn't believe. When we got our Sequoia with leather seats, I noticed how the hair didn't stick to the seats at all, so that became one of the key things I was looking for. Non-dog-lovers need not comment, I've seen your posts elsewhere already. He rides with me. Period. :D

Run the VIN but I'm willing to bet aftermarket leather (the seats will be stock). See if there is a katzkin tag somewhere.

You are correct. Must have been either dealer or customer installed.
