My 2012 SR5 has a type a radio with a am/sat button that appears to do nothing. In the manual only type b radios have satellite info. Why does the type a have this button if it's not enabled or am I missing something?

If you had the SAT module plugged into the back of the radio it would allow you to switch to it. Sounds like you do not have that accessory.
