As the title says, America's tires scratched my brand new wheels while installing new tires (2 of them to be exact). I even mentioned to them to take their time and not to rush as I've read on the forum of instances. They're pretty deep scratches you can feel and can't be polished out and large in length.

Initially they offered to have them repainted which I decline because they're brand new and don't want them refurbished. The other option was let me use them as is (which I'm doing now as they contact corporate) for now and order a new pair and have them swapped out but no other compensation even though my time is being wasted waiting for replacements and having to come back to get them swapped out and/or have corporate get involved,

I know they're eventually going to get damaged but I want to be the one to damage them not the installer. Just wanted to see if any other people here have gone through the same thing and what you guts think is reasonable or most I should get in reimbursement.

    Appreciate your help.

I'll have to take them tomorrow morning. I picked my truck as they were closing time so I know both of us were fustrated and trying to get home.

I had the same problem, but they were my stock wheels that got damaged.

    Like every appointment..

After a year and half or so they sent me a survey that I normally delete but something made me bother with it. Absolutely ripped their ass in it. The store manager call me 10 minutes after I submitted it. We talked for probably half an hour.

In the end, he said they'd refinish mine or give me any wheel I wanted that they sell. I wasn't sure about refinishing them given the damage, so I opted for new wheels. They paid for the wheels, new lug nuts, dismount, mount, balance.

So if your wheels are a brand they don't sell, ask them to replace them or pay you for them. Get a written quote for replacement from whoever you got them from, and if you have a receipt from purchasing them, that also.

That said, someone else posted not too long ago and they opted for a wheel refinishing, and they looked absolutely flawless.

Be a normal person and you'll get treated fine.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
These things happen, what more compensation do you want besides the new replacement wheels?

Are you getting to keep the damaged ones? If not ask to keep one as a full size spare.
