Sunvisor mirror add on?

Hey guys need some help on this one. So base models as you know don't cone with a mirror in the sunvisor, not such big deal for me, but the wife always claims about it. So after looking up a factory one and seeing it cost $$$ I'm ttying to figure how to add one. I noticed after feeling around the one I have there is something underneath the fabric like a cutout. I was woundering anybody cut it open and find out what's in there.
If not what have you guys done to add one. Glued on, taped on, velcro...

 

Well my curiosity got the best of me, I cut it open. It has the basic setup for the mirror but no mirror. So I got one from my local auto parts store, and used some double sided tape to attach. Looks good for now, until I can get one from a wrecking yard.

Can anyone else confirm this? I’m a girl that does her makeup in the parking lot at work everyday, driving a 2018 SR.

 

There's not a larger clip on than stock on Ebay? I've always thought those little factory ones were worthless. My nostrils are larger than the lens.

 

I’ve found mirrors that clip on but they don’t have covers like factory installed visor mirrors. So when the visor is blocking the sun for me, the mirror is facing the sun and other drivers. Not ideal.

 

@Redtaco43 have you checked car-part.com for a factory visor with mirror option?
