    Hey guys,

Came on this site in the hopes I could find some guidance. I bought a Tonneau cover from a buddy for a 2016 Taco (short bed) and I can't seem to figure out how to install the stupid thing. I found where things are supposed to be screwed into and how it all should fit together however The plastic on the top of the edges of the bed won't fit with the bolts in. The I can't find the model for this cover and the only I can find on it is a serial number (which at this point I have memorized I've typed it so many times) "F-44X9-1200-ANXX" "03516 Cover Assembly, Tonneau 021571" Does anyone know who makes this stupid thing and if I'm missing parts?!?!

Picture? Roll up? Tri-fold? Lots of variables here.

You need to cut your factory rails to make the mounts accessible. Once you remove the rails you will be able to see all of the bolt holes. Then cut your rails around the post brackets and reinstall your rails.

So I'm not missing a kit with pre-cut ones?

If you bought the kit from a friend, he should still have the cut rails. Either swap rails with him or cut rectangles in yours.
