Blowing through shocks on daily commute of 40 miles of potholed gravel road. Need new set-up for this application. Up to 2" lift is fine..don't want to mess with UCAs. What do you think?

CBI sliders, ADS extend travel with compression adjuster coil overs, 9” Bilstein 5125 rear shocks, Icon Tubular UCA, Alcan custom leafs, All Pro Apex bumper and skids, NWTI rear diy bumper, 295/70/17 Cooper St Maxxs and nitro 4.88s.
I just put icons on my truck and they feel great, but a lot of people say go kings.

Thanks. Thinking of leaving my rear 5100s on with the wheelers AAL progressive pack in and either kings or OME up front. Something more heavy duty than the 5100.

you may want to call wheelers and talk to them about it, and explain what you are looking for. They may have a better recommendation for you. Custom valving might be something you would want to look into.

Yup...Kings would be super spendy, but I hear they ride great on rough roads...I just don't know about their durability. No warranty at all really. And yeah, the OME with 881s are looking pretty good to me...maybe a stiffer ride, but durable Im told.

Kings are a fuck lot more durable than OMEs or 5100s. None of them will be warrantied, read the fine print.

It's a consumable item. Kings need rebuilt, OME/5100 need replacing. Pick one that fits your budget, and then drive until you break them. Fix/repair/repeat.

Or.. slow down a little. Stock shocks haven't killed anybody, neither have any of the others you mentioned.

I've tried slowing down many times.... I can't quit chewing either!
I think I am going kings...my ball joints and tie rod ends will be happier too. The whole damn truck better be happy after a grand!!

Do any of you guys have experience with a custom redneck leaf pack? I got some assemblies out of a ford exploder and may start cutting and stacking. What make and models, lop and stack orders seems to work? Anyone?

There is a bunch of stuff on using a Chevy leaf pack. Almost direct bolt up. I think the pack is out of a 90ds chevy s10. Don't hold me to that. If my foggy brain can remember correctly the pack is 62 inches long and provides about 2-3 inches of lift with one spring removed. It is also more flexible that the Dakar pack. I have not done it, I've just read others builds.
