I found a wheel and tire combo I like but I have a couple of questions. They come in 17x9" with an option of 00mm or -12mm offset. From all the reading I've done it looks like a -12mm offset will push the wheel out just shy of 1/2". So I'm guessing it will just look a bit stockier on the truck. But in a 9" wide wheel it could be too much??? Should I stick with 0mm?
I'm wanting to run bfgoodrich KO2's in 265/70-17. I've also seen some folks not recommend that size tire on a 9" wheel. I'm wanting to run these on a stock 3rd gen for the time being and don't want to rub at all. Your thoughts would be appreciated!!!

9" wide? What size tire and any lift? Thank you for response!!! So the ones I'm looking at will be even wider with the -12. If I go this route I think the 0mm would work best. Do you agree?

20170314_043756.jpg thats a 17x8 6x135 5.5 rim and it sits good. But i also have bigger tires than what you're looking at. -10mm

The 17x9, ET -12, 4.5"backspace; will sit 61mm(2.40") further out.
The tire will sit 42mm(1.65") further out.
    Scrub will increase 39mm(1.54").

The 17x9, ET 0, 5"backspace; will sit 49mm(1.93") further out.
The tire will sit 30mm(1.18") further out.
    Scrub will increase 27mm(1.06").

Your stock wheel is 17x7.5, ET +30, 5.43"backspace.
    Here's a calculator. I think a better choice would be a 17x8, ET 0 to +12, 4.5" to 5" backspace.
The rim will sit, ET 0/36mm(1.42") to ET +12/24mm(0.94") further out.
The tire will sit, ET 0/30mm(1.18") to ET +12/18mm(0.71") further out.
Scrub will increase ET 0/27mm(1.06") to ET +12/15mm(0.59").

Thanks guys for your input!!! I think I'm gonna keep looking. I agree with you splitbolt an 8" wide is a better option. Probably going back to the pro comp helldorado in a 17x8 with ko2's
