Over heating

    Good morning all I have a problem with my 2006 Tacoma it started overheating and then after awhile it just went back to normal but it was still pushing all the water out the overflow valve I flushed it today and it went back to overheating hoses aren't getting hot and has no heat coming out what would be causing this thank you

    check fluid level, low level would cause not enough heat. also check radiator cap and be sure the radiator has no debris like a plastic bag or anything. I would also check the thermostat. good luck keep us informed.

    Took the radiator out and ran water through it. Couple pieces of plastic from the old radiator cap came out but it's still over heating.? Can I check to see if the water pump is good. And if so how?

    Replace the thermostat. It's a cheap part, and an easy fix if it's bad. Even if it's good, it'll rule it out by replacing it.

    x3, don't mess with the water pump until you have replaced (or at least checked) the thermostat.

    Hope for you that it's not a head gasket. Take the above advise first but be prepared for bad news. And keep a close eye on the temp gauge.
