Rain-x is great until you use your wipers a lot. Going to try car wax and see if that's more durable.

I love Rain-X and have used both the yellow bottle and the washer fluid. The only problem I have with the product is if you get a chip in your windshield. The last time I got a chip and called the local glass repair company to do their standard chip repair process (to prevent a future crack), I got a rude awakening. The guy cleaned the area in and around the chip, then tried to apply the crack fix. No dice. He then asked me if I used Rain-X. Since I did, he said I was SOL. The product apparently gets down in the crack and prevents the epoxy from bonding - no matter how well you try to remove it. Other than that, I love the stuff.

I had the same thing happen. But it was Aquapel rather than rainX. Repair didn't work.

I have been using on my 2017 Sport. It works great. It has been raining a lot in So Cal lately. I have put 2 coats on and it has really improved my night rain visibility.

I just used Rain X car soap and it worked as advertised. Also it foamed up nicely.

I do suggest not removing the foil seal under the cap when you first open it. Instead just poke a hole in the foil seal with a key. This soap is really low viscosity so it squirts out easily.

The only drawback is that it leaves your hands slippery after you wash a car.

I feel like Rain-X makes my wipers skip more and doesn't really last that long. I swapped to Aquapel and have been very happy. I applied it about 3 months ago and it still works.

I’m AMAZED by how long Aquapel lasts. Ive seen effects a year. Crazy longevity.
