I think ARB is one of the companies that actively advertises that their bumpers don't change the trucks crash worthiness

Got the gas mileage down to 13mpg! Modification complete
They do...but I don't trust corporations. Been lied to for too long. Plus to be honest, my bumper was made to take a kangaroo hit.

I was about to say the same thing.....50mph into the side would destroy the side of that truck. But clearly, even impacts at much lower speeds can result in serious injuries.....hope it's nothing too serious....get checked.

Edit; just read that you were checked out and are Ok.....good deal.

Really... They blow everything even it's just a frontal? wow. I can't say I have download a resent Toyota lately. Gosh I just assumed the newer models had seat position and weight. I think even the cheapest GM's has that. That's why I said it's kind of reckless talking about air bags so loosely.

When I was installing my stereo, I did notice what seemed to be a sensor at the bottom of the b-pillar.

When I get to the office tomorrow I'll print out he taco ACM cable specs for 16/17 and post them.

Below is the data capability of the ACM MODULE. It may not pertain to some models of Toyota.

Our module is the latest 3rd Gen module 13EDR (not the same as 3rd gen taco) from year model 15 onward.

It does have the capability for seat position and passenger classification (weight). It does have a ton of data for lateral and roll which would be interesting to the OP.

I'm going to pick around and see if I can find a 3rd gen taco report, sanitize it and post it.

Highlights and emphasis are from me.

    Toyota/Lexus/Scion EDR Generation 3

In my view the driver that caused the accident should have insurance that covers them for medical injuries they cause. But the insurance company will try to skewer you and not pay if you let them. I would get a reputable attorney and don't say anything to their insurence company whatsoever because they will try to use it against you in any way they can. Even those amoulance-chaser lawyers on TV can do for you what you cant do for yourself, they just want a 33% or 25% cut of what you get so be aware of that as well. Good Luck!
