I went to a shop in Elk Grove, CA and they sell a brand they said they developed called Toxic. Anyone ever hear of them? The sounded pretty good compared to Image Design (which I have heard of). I need to replace my tweeters in my front door.....

Just wondering if anyone has heard of them.

On another topic. I have a JL W3 8" woofer in a Mr. Marv box and need an amp. The guys at the shop said I should push atleast 300 watts to the woofer. That seems like over kill to me but I dont know. Any thoughts on this topic? How much power do I really need to drive a 8" JL w3 in a non ported box.

I think you mean "Image Dynamics" possibly? I've not heard any of the Toxic stuff in person so I can't comment.

For your sub. Power handling would depend on the size of the enclosure.

Coming from a car-audio guy. Id recomend one of the higher-end mainstream brands.

    MtX
    Rockford Fosgate
    Focal
    Pioneer
    JL

Let me know if you have any questions. Trucks really isnt my thing, but I have my fair share of car-audio installs
