I have a 2014 Tacoma, 5 lug stock rims, 4-cyl, auto, 2WHL drive that is a delight. Over the 3 years I owned it, two of the snap-on hubs have simply dropped off. Granted, some roads not very smooth while driving Meals On Wheels. It has been the drive wheels, first left side about 2 yrs ago, then right side this year. Has anyone else had an issue with these? Is there a way to encourage them to stay on? Obviously, the rear ones removed more often because I do put on snow tires.

Put just a dab of clear silicone on just two of the tabs on the cap, 180* from each other.

You'll have to be cautious when you remove the caps for future service work, but the silicone will break with gentle pressure. You'll never lose another cap, unless someone is snitching them.

So. When you take the vehicle in for tire/brake services, remove the caps prior to dropping the vehicle off. Much simpler than trying to explain to the shop how to use care with them.
