Currently sporting 265/60R18 stock Michelins on Limited wheels with a 2016 taco. I got 5100 installed with about 1.5" lift and my ride is relatively stiff (a bit stiffer than stock). I'm thinking of stepping up to 275/70R18 or something similar to acquire extra side wall for more comfort. Would this equalize some of the bumpiness on the roads or should I consider a different path?

The more sidewall, the better. You may need to compromise on the width to keep overall diameter down. Maybe 265/70 or 255/75

Did you get different springs? Or just use the 5100 clips? Using the clips will cause a stiffer ride.

Your stock tires are likely P-load, which is the softest riding and lightest. If you go to a different tire, pay attention to load rating. Going to a heavier load, especially E-load will have a firmer ride.
