I've never had one of these on any of my vehicles in the past (been driving since 1978), but I want to try it for the first time on my new Taco. So, I have some questions:
    1. Are the visors mainly for (light) rain when driving with open windows?
    2. How effective are they against the wind buffeting vs. driving w/o one?
    3. What are some positive & negative feedbacks on these 2 brands?

I want to pick one that does its intended job the best and last long.
    Thanks.

I've had them on my last three vehicles, and wouldn't have one without them myself. My 2 cents...
1 - Great for keeping windows cracked while driving or parked in light/medium rain, they also let me keep the windows cracked open on a hot day so it can get some ventilation without obviously looking like the windows are open a bit :D
    2 - I haven't noticed much difference either way.
3 - I've always bought AVS, and been really happy with them. But I do hear good things about the WeatherTech, I've just never used them myself.

Having had both in-channel and the kind that stick to the outside, I greatly prefer the look and function of the in-channel.

I have the AVS in channel installed and it works beautifully for what I got it for which is to be able to vape while I'm driving in the rain or cold weather.

Have had the Weathertechs for 4 years and love them. Not a fan of stick-ons.

Do these visors create more noticeable wind noise at highway speeds than without?

They don't work well for blowing snow...

I've had avs visors on my 2nd gen for 4 years now and not one problem. No leaks, no wind noises, nothing. They work great cause I can keep my windows open about 1-2" below the visor on rainy days while driving and no rain comes in. It's nice that I can crack them and if it rains I don't have to worry about leaks or anything.

Why would you admit to this? It's like saying you got your Windows tinted so you could suck dick in private.
