    TOYOTA 5VZ-FE 3.4L V6 SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM
    Our Price: $2,995.00

    Product Code: 01-62-34-003-BL

Magnuson Toyota 3.4L MP62 Supercharger SystemMagnuson is proud to announce the Toyota 3.4L V6 Supercharger System is now available for the Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, T100 and Tundra. The OEM look of our integral supercharger system on this platform allows for a one piece design, a larger plenum and tapered runners just to name a few advancements. At around 6 psi, the 3.4L V6 Supercharger System makes an amazing 25% hp and 25% lb-ft increase of serious truck torque at the crank, all with CARB certification (D-488-42).

At the heart of the Magnuson Supercharger System is Eaton’s fifth generation supercharger unit, the MP62. The supercharger system is a positive displacement, roots style pump, utilizing Eaton’s lightweight, three-lobe 60 degree twisted rotors. Cast and assembled as a single, OEM-style-manifold and rotating group housing, the unit is quiet, compact, attractive, easy to install, and requires little to no extra maintenance to the unit itself.

The positive displacement supercharger offers power instantly as the throttle is pressed. Boost pressure builds with no perceived lag commonly associated with other types of forced induction, and provides a large increase in torque across the entire power band. Throttle control is linear and predictable and makes for an excellent driving experience both in daily driving and wide-open acceleration.

Since the supercharger does not compress air as it moves through the rotors, it’s extremely efficient during light throttle and cruising situations. Unlike screw-type positive displacement superchargers that are always compressing, the MP62 unit can internally bypass air, resulting in negligible parasitic loss during cruising and therefore far greater fuel economy.

The single cast unit and appropriately sized rotating group eliminates potential leak points and allows for a slim, compact design without sacrificing key airflow design characteristics. The unit features a high velocity flow path through the supercharger rotors and an unrestricted discharge port into the appropriately sized plenum. The large plenum equalizes flow across all ports as air feeds evenly into the runners. Finally, the ports are separated into individual runners, offering greater operation by eliminating cross-fire.

For 3 grand I'd get a new one and save up for headers later on. The Magnuson's are CARB certified now it looks like so if you're in CA there's no reason to look for a used one unless you want to save some cash, but remember the superchargers need rebuilding at around 100k miles and that can easily cost you another $1k if you can't do it yourself.

Price seems high, I wouldn't buy new but it seems I've seen used complete kits w/o headers but with 7th injector for around 2k, maybe it was a lil more. I haven't really looked for them but what I've noticed.

I'm very pleased with them. I got lucky and found a TRD Y-pipe that corresponds to the 99-04 Tacoma's. Two cats vs only one. This one is designed for the one cat only but it's not a big deal. Your local exhaust shop could make your current exhaust bolt up to it with just a little fabrication. Congrats on the purchase!

are the headers worth it without the supercharger?

is it a "must" if you have the supercharger?

and where would one find TRD Y-pipe that corresponds to the 99-04 Tacoma's?

That's a tough question... I love my truck and make decent money. I did it because I know I'll s/c my truck some day but even if that doesn't happen I'm still happy with them. My truck sounded good with the Magnaflow Catback exhaust but really sounded awesome when I threw in those headers!

If your going to boost then I would say yes, get the headers. It really allows your engine to expel that exhaust that much faster. Plus they're discontinued. They're expensive but prior to them being available people were on here selling they're old ones for the same price they bought them for, once EBay no longer has them you won't lose money if you ever need to sell them.

The y-pipe I have @TashcomerTexas to thank, he found me the part # and I went searching. It just so happen to be that I found one. From what people have said since these headers have been available that well is all dried up. I'd still buy em again, even if I never boost (which I will) but if your not going to s/c your truck and could care less about sound, I'd throw the money toward your next mod... Lift, lockers or tires.

Not having the y-pipe shouldn't discourage anyone. It's an easy fix for an exhaust shop. Some light fab work and a URD o2 sensor simulator will have it running same same.
