Detailers, what is your favorite leather products? For cleaning and conditioning.

Also when it comes to buying products for rubber trim, should I go with something specifically for UV protection and conditioning?

I have a trim restoring product so its for black plastic and gives a wet look to your tires but I'm not so sure its what I need to protect my rubber trim around my windows (ie protect it from cracking and losing color).

Im getting ready to stock up on detail supplies. Want to make sure I get everything :D

My favorite everything is Meguiars Ultimate Class. I use it to detail my truck and the trucks I do on the side for cash. As far as black rubber. UV protection is good. But you just want to get something that will keep it lubed up and prevent cracking.

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant is hard to beat. Great stuff. McKee's also has a new trim sealant that is getting great reviews. It looks to be similar to the Wolfgang.

For tires, I like Duragloss 253 Tire and Rubber Dressing. Non-solvent based tire dressings will help to avoid cracks in the tires over the long term. They don't last as long as solvent-based, but they don't build up over time and thus require deep cleaning later. The 253 is also nice on mud flaps, door seals, floor mats, and on the engine compartment plastics.

Remember though that the sun's UV rays cause the oxidation, fading & cracking of many materials over time. That said, UV protection is pretty high on my list and 303 Aerospace Protectant is about as good as it gets for that.

I do see Lexol products recommended a lot over on AG. A word of warning-- a lot of leather cleaners/conditioners are "leather scented". And any of the leather scented ones I've smelled have smelled absolutely terrible. I like megs ultimate leather balm (coconut), but it may not be practical for an entire vehicle. The sprayable Lexol products might be superior in that regard.
