I went with the extra headroom of the Leer180.

Have you noticed any difference in your gas mileage since putting the cap on your truck, and do you think the raised roof on the cap has any affect on that. I am averaging between 23 and 24 mpg and have gotten as much as 27.8 on a 160 mile trip. I think that is great and almost hate to do anything to screw that up.

I do mostly city driving, but didn't notice a change when I added it. I installed it only a week or two after getting the truck, so I didn't have much of a history to compare it to.

Could you measure the height from the floor to the inside ceiling? I am thinking of buying this same cap for my truck. Thanks

Might look into Alu-Cab as well. There are a couple of dealers in the states.

Can i play? Does a softtopper count? Love mine so far. Keeps things dry and out of sight also easy to fold down and haul something that would exceed the height of having it up.

    SnugTop Rebel for me
    IMG_2225.jpg

Just a little FYI, LEER owns SnugTop now. If you are still deciding on which one to get, go with get LEER. Same shit now just SnugTop brand is still a little more expensive.

Damn first they send me a 72" topper and now the bar is incorrect. I've seen other softopper and noticed it looked curved but for some reason your picture was very noticeable. Thanks.

Leer 180XL if you are going to camp in the back. I've had it for 3 years, I camp in it 1-2 times per month if not more. Never had a leak. Opted for the factory installed rails. Yakima rack is plug and play, takes me about 20 minutes to set it up for long trips. I have it built up in the back with storage system and mattress. It's a bit tight with 2 people but manageable. The little bit of extra head room makes a big difference. It's my daily driver and still averaging 17-18 mpg.
