I dont have any pictures, but it's somewhere behind the kick panel area. I mounted it with zip ties through the mounting holes I think. Not the most professional looking mounting, but it works. I leave the USB cord attached and have it run into the glove box where it stays coiled up for when I need to use it.

Quick question. I started working on running the vacuum line into the cab for the mapecu3 and was going to run out the wideband harness. However, I'm not exactly sure where to run it through firewall.

I could have swore I read somewhere that people were able to access the cab through the boot the wire harness enters the cab through by cutting the boot at one of the crosshatched areas and running through there. Not sure how noticeable it is in my picture below, but I tried that but can't get through. I've also read people going through the grommet just up and left of the wire harness boot, I think. However, that just doesn't look big enough for both the vacuum line and wb harness. :help:

That is where I recently ran my wires through, for my Haltech Elite. To understand it, I pulled it completely off of the firewall.

Went exactly through the spot which you cut. Use a stiff wire or hanger. It will go through. You just have to dig around with your hand to find the wires, in the cab.

I ran mine in the 10 o'clock cross hatches and just poked a hole in it and ran a coat hanger thru and pull my boost line back out. Ran the line up the hanger and electrical taped it

Okay. Thanks. I tried poking a piece of baling wire through the cut I made but no luck. I'll see if I can get it figured out tomorrow after work. There's a local TW meet on Saturday, and I'd really like to have the install done to take the truck. :burnrubber:

Maybe my boot is rotated a hair?? My crosshatches are at 12, 3, 6, and 9.

I got the vacuum line and wb harness fed through. I didn't even have to cut wb harness or remove the connector to get it through. I've got all the lines ran through the dash and started getting the dash back together. I still need to wire power for the gauges when I finish putting the driver's side of the dash back together.

I don't actually have the mapecu3 hooked up to the ecu yet. I'm getting the wb o2 bung and resonator welded in next Friday, so I'll get it all hooked up and start playing with it then. Just a matter of plugging the pnp harness into the ecu.

On tuning? No. I'm waiting until I get the bung for the wb welded on to hookup the mapcal3. I'm taking the truck around on Friday to get the bung welded on.

Sick as a dog right now thanks to an ass at work coming in dieing all last week.

Quick question. I did some preventative maintenance on the truck a few days ago, which included replacing the spark plugs and coils. Before my WB and stock AFR sensor tracked with each other. Now the stock AFR sensor reads 14.7 and the WB reads 14.3. I know I need to make adjustments to the AFR Adjust table by telling the stock AFR sensor that it is running rich so the computer pulls fuel to get the WB back to 14.7.

The map-ECU3 documentation isn't clear on which way to adjust for richer or leaner. I assume that it tracks like the voltage output of WB sensors where a higher voltage is a leaner AFR, so I would want a negative value in the table to make the stock sensor think it is rich.

Can anyone confirm whether or not my thought process is correct? Thanks.

The "+" adds fuel by 5% in default config and the "-" does the opposite. Easiest way to do it is graph mode and follow me turned on... Says the guy who barely has a running truck but thats how i understand it and how i have done what little u have done

Okay. That jives with what I was thinking. If I don't forget by the morning, I'm going to take the laptop with me on the drive to work, and see if I can't get it corrected.

What is your "stock AFR" sensor, and where is it getting its reading from?

Where is the aftermarket wideband sensor's location?

The stock sensor is the pre-cat sensor that came on the truck. It is mounted in the exhaust just past the header in the pipe section with the stock cat and resonator. I'm reading the lambda value with my Ultragauge through the OBD2 port. The ultragauge only shows voltage or lambda.

The aftermarket sensor is mounted in the exhaust an inch or two downstream of the stock sensor. I'll go out and grab a few pictures later today.

I was running late Thursday morning and didn't have time to grab my laptop. However, now that I've got a few hundred miles on since I had the battery unhooked, the stock sensor and aftermarket have levelled out to 0.01 lambda difference. Stock will read 1.0 and PLX will read 0.99. This was the difference before I did the maintenance and before I installed the map-ECU actually.

Here's a picture of the o2 location. Aftermarket sensor is on the top. Stock on the right.

That is your stock O2 sensor, or stock WRAF sensor (pre cat sensor)?

Yeah. The sensor pointing up in the picture is for my PLX WB setup. The sensor pointing to the right is the stock pre cat sensor.

I have the 2TR-FE, so there's not cat integrated into the header like on the 1GR-FE. My cat is out of frame to the right of the photo.
