Have a 2017, recently upgraded rims and tires. Taking a bit more to push the tires. Any suggestions on what I should do to ensure I don't run into engine problems over heat? Or should I not even worry about it. (Yes. New to this sort of thing. I had a 2 door 2012 and upgraded)

If you want to feel a change in acceleration, regear.

If you want to sound like a popcan fart, muffler/exhaust

Exhaust wouldn't be hardly noticeable but it would help a little and if done right it'll sounds a lot better. Regear would make it feel more like stock if not more power.

It wouldn't be a fart IF DONE RIGHT. So don't be cheap with it haha but honestly the stock V6 exhaust doesn't sound bad.

An exhaust will not measurably nor discernably improve performance on the small V6 in this truck and it will not make it sound like a beefy ballsy motor. It will sound like a small v6.

People talk about lack of power all the time, but it's a HUGE step up for me from 12 year old Frontier. It's great for me lol

Swap in a big block and be done ;)

Seriously though.. gears are your only real option. I have helped swap gears on a few toys in the past... it isn't that difficult and honestly I wouldn't trust someone else. It is very time consuming to do it correctly and most shops won't spend the time.

I talked to a guy and he said gears for sure. Don't want to mess up the trans. But for the driving I do it's all town. So I can put it off for awhile. I just need to take time off work and do it.
    Thank you!
