I currently own a 2016 SR5. I found two headlight (upper models) for sale. I was wondering if the DRL would work with an SR5? Is there an extra switch for the Upper models?

Not sure if they are plug n play, but there is an extra "twist" on the knob that turns the headlights on for DTRL.

I think there's a special wire harness specifically for the head lights with DRL. You can get that from the dealer and have it installed or install it yourself. Then there's the switch ..... I'm no help there, I think guys that have SR5s that installed DRLs put a switch on the dash.

The TRDs have the DRL switch integral in the light stick on the steering column. That part is probably expensive or maybe get it from the person with the head lights??

You can get a relay installed which will turn on the drl when the vehicle is on.

Not on sr5's, I already checked. Nothing hardwired from factory. You need to splice something in for it to work.

That's fine. I'm sure someone on this site has swapped them out. Just trying to get more information, how they spliced in, or if it's possible to purchase an accessory harness etc..

Ya bummer if pre-wired that would be awesome. I'm sure they saved a ton of money with that one.
