Hi Everyone - I just bought my first Tacoma a month ago. As a matter of fact, this is the first time I've owned a Toyota. I traded my 2010 Mercedes C300 Sport (manual). It just wasn't for me.

Before I settled on the Tacoma, I also looked at the Nissan Frontier and a Jeep Wrangler. Both of those options had their +/-s, but one thing that I was concerned about was being able to put the truck in my garage. I looked at the Frontier because it's a direct competitor to the Tacoma and was a little less expensive. When I got in the Frontier, I just didn't like it, it look very dated even though it was probably equally as capable. As far as the Wrangler, I couldn't get over the fact that in order to enjoy the sun and the sky, I would have to take the panels off, which seemed like a chore, compared to just opening a sunroof.

I went back and forth between the 3 at first. I crossed the Frontier off the list because although it was equally as capable, I just didn't like it and the interior was very bland. The Jeep was in the lead because I thought the Tacoma wouldn't fit in the garage. Plus I always liked the idea of having a Jeep. But something just wouldn't let me pull the trigger on the Jeep and I never got a good feeling about it, plus I was worried about some of the quality and mechanical issues I was reading about.

After crossing the Jeep off the list, I went back to the Tacoma and drove one again. The rest is history, AND...it did fit in my garage with just inches to spare, but it's in there!

    Here's what I got:

Blazing Blue Pearl, TRD Off Road, 6 speed Manual, Tech Package and Tonneau Cover
