I was lucky enough to pick up the "illusive" 2017 4Runner Pro a couple weeks ago. The Canadian version comes with a sunroof and turn indicators in side mirrors.

Well I've only had it for like 2 weeks. Haven't done very much so far:

    -Removed running boards
    -Blacked out rear badge
    -Weather-tech floor liners
    -255/75/17 STT Pro's on order
    -LED grill markers
    -OEM hood deflector
    -Viair compact compressor ordered

Have the Toytec 2" Pro lift on order but contemplating canceling. When I ordered it i was set on getting 285's but have not decided to go with 255's. Save some power, fuel, and rubbing.

Btw, was there a homicide in your garage? - looks like a chalk outline on the floor.

    Great ride. Congratulations!

I must ask. Why spend the extra money on the Pro vs Trail premium? It looks like you are replacing the suspension and tires, which are the biggest differences between the trims. Am I missing some difference?

I was going to go with the Trail but my friends buddy is the owner who had this only one coming in for himself. He talked him into letting buy it at msrp which is rare on the Pro's around here (only 300-400 coming to all of Canada) so I was like what the hell why not. Differences are basically the grill, wheels, tires (replacing), suspension (think keeping) and resale value. Honestly I can easily sell it now locally for 5k more than I paid 2 weeks ago and even more if I'm willing to ship. But ya functionally there's no difference other than suspension/tires.

Sounds like you got a great deal. I've seen Pros here with a $5000 markup over sticker. Not worth it for me, especially with no sunroof.

Enjoy the truck, I look forward to following along.

Thanks! Ya luckily here our version gets a sunroof. I've recently seen dealers online in So Cal asking 60k USD o_O

Definitely in a normal circumstances it's financially smarter to get a Trail and mod imo.

The 2" lift is very noticeable. How's the ride now?

I love my 3rd gen runner with the supercharger but I have seriously been contemplating picking one of these fancy 5th gens up. Man, they are gorgeous! Can't wait to see what you do to this beauty queen!
