    '04 Taco. 2.5" lift & almost level. Yep! It's a leaner!
I just installed all new suspension with 1 1/2" AAL with Bilstein 5100's and 2.5" front lift and level spacers on Moog coils and struts on my '04 Taco XtraCab 4x4.
After installation, I was curious and measured the space between the tires and fender flares.
    Results:
    FL - 6 1/2"
    FR - 7 1/8"
    RL - 6 7/8"
    RR - 7 3/4"

My question is; If I install a 3" spacer on the front driver's (left) side and leave the 2 1/2" spacer on the front passenger (right) side, will that level the front and possibly apply more pressure to the rear right and relieving pressure on the rear left (like leveling the legs on a washing machine), thus leveling the rear? I am not an engineer. I may be way off base here, but it seems to me that there will be more affect than just the front left lift. Not even sure if two different size spacers will level the front or if the 3" on left will affect the 2 1/2" on the right.

    1/2" raise > FL...FR < any change?
    ..
    ..
    ......Rise? > RL...RR < Lower?

Am I crazy, stupid, or just over thinking this? Any engineers in the group?

Did you add top plate spacers, or coil spacers? You are supposed to add 1/4" more spacer to the driver side front than the passenger side to counter lean. 1/4" top plate spacers = 1/2" of lift. The factory Pro suspension for example has right/left specific struts because it lifts the driver side front higher to account for the lean, so applying additional lift to one corner is the official way Toyota counters the lean.

    1/4 top plate lean spacer:

I have top plate spacers. I follow what you are saying. It's just like the Old Man Emu 5mm spacers for fixing the lean. 5mm is just shy of 1/4". And, if the "rule-of-thumb" holds true, then the 3" lift spacers should be approximately a 1/4" taller than the 2 1/2" lift spacers (not sure of the exact measurement w/o removing, but approximately 1 1/4") I have now. Does anyone know? I can get the set of 3" lift spacers for the same price as that 1/4" spacer and have two sets. If it works correctly I could sell one set or keep for future use.
My main question is; will this also help to correct the lean in the rear of the truck or will I need to shim the rear driver's side? Is there a better option than what I am considering? (inexpensive option, not wanting to spend big $ on adjustable coilovers)

    Thanks for the info crashnburn80.

Yes you can add a 1/2" larger spacer (1/4" measured difference) on the driver side vs passenger side to correct the lean by using a 3" and 2.5". With a 1/5" rear lift, personally I would consider lowering the the passenger side with a 2" instead raising the driver with a 3", as 3" is a pretty large spacer lift.

You can find cheap non-name top plate spacers on ebay that may be the same price.

Yes adjusting the front helps correct lean in the back of the truck and is the method Toyota uses to prevent lean. Though some minor lean is still possible.

Cool..... That's what looking for! I'll do a little more research then jump on eBay and get them ordered.

I will post my full measurement results, to compare with my first post measurements, as soon as I get them installed! (With fast shipping, should be done within the week)

    Again...Thanks crashnburn80.

Got my 3" spacers and installed one on the driver's side while keeping the 2.5" on the passenger side.

    Here are my results: BEFORE.................AFTER
    ...................................FL - 6 1/2"...............FL - 6 3/4"
    ...................................FR - 7 1/8"...............FR - 7"
    ...................................RL - 6 7/8"...............RL - 7"
    ...................................RR - 7 3/4"...............RR - 7 1/2"

Everything was measured on the same, level concrete, with properly inflated tires, and driven several miles to settle everything.
Diagonally across FL and RR changed 1/4". FR and RL changed 1/8". I was hoping to double those figures.
A shim on rear left would probably get me closer, but I can live with it, as is. The best way to get it level is, undoubtedly, adjustable shocks, but I really don't want to spend the $ for that.

    Forgot some data.
    The spacers I used measured: 3" lift spacer - 1-3/16"...........2.5" lift spacer - 31/32".

Well from another Ben I'll say I have the same issue on my 2000 xtra cab. My intention is to go to the bili 5100 adjustables I think and haven't gotten too much further than that honestly on my research to remedy the issue due to other things ahead of it. Ever get your question answered? On another thread maybe?
