My White TRD Sport was born (Build date Friday 6/17/2016) at an assembly Plant in San Antonio TX. My salesman Called me Thursday June 3Oth. said I could take delivery at my convenience any time Friday July 1 . it had 1 mile on the odometer. In the glove box there is/was a very nice binder with a owners Manuel that is larger than the local Phone book, and maintenance schedule.
to date I have not experienced any of the auto trans. related problems so frequently reported in
TW . The first 500 miles there did seam to be an excessive amount of up and down shifting out on the RD. now with 5000 Mi. I know it is still shifting but it is so smooth you hardly notice it at all. So to me it was just brake in, the Taco and I just getting to know each other.
Back to the Issue at hand, Historically I do my own Maintenance.
If you are still reading this I would like to draw your attention to Page 441 of the owners
Manuel where it details the process to reset the " Maintenance Required "light.
with the trip odometer button pushed in, power up the dash by pushing the start button (do not start) the odometer should light, The system should reset when everything goes to ( 0 ) on my vehicle the odometer will not light unless the engine is started. This little issue is still unresolved after two hours fiddling with it........driving me nuts

go into your settings, go-to messages. scroll down. you can clear maintenance messages from there (but i don't know if this only works on Entune).
