    Well balls, did a quick few donuts in a dirt lot to test out the new gears, now I've got a whirring in the front end that sounds like my passenger side going out. :facepalm: it never ends. It whirrs along with tire rotation...thought it was a pebble stuck in the tires, nope.

    Started hearing a hum noise from my passenger side. Needed an alignment since my lift install. Sure enough, alignment tech let me know that bearing is going out. Just submitted an order.

    @nj636 Sorry bud, Gopro showed zero abnormal noise from the wheel well. I think I'm more sorry because of it, only because that means its the rear diff lol. Hoping the 4x4 diff shop can do a quick fix and not have to rip out the entire diff.

    A loud whirring coming from the rear of the truck only when I decelerate and it whirrs along with tire spin. I'm like 99.99% sure its the diff.

    drain the gear oil. My 06 ate the pinion bearing, it hummed only on decel.

    Yeah it's the diff. I'm gonna drain the oil this weekend when I get a chance. Diff shop that set up the diffs said the "nitro gears are crap, they didn't set up perfectly so they're gonna make that noise" but said if I buy new gears from them they'll install for free. He promised me the diff wouldn't grenade anytime soon though, but I'll be bring my spare diff along to Pismo just in case.

    my gear oil was completely grey because there was so much metal in it. Did it make that noise right after you put the 3rd in ?
