    Hey guys thanks for taking a look. I am considering 3 lift options, 2 of which I am able to find much information on. I am considering Bilstein 6112/5160, Fox 2.5/2.0 and am interested in a third I'll get to.

    I have two little boys and I have not off-roaded much in a truck. We have dirtbikes and mtb quite a bit, but I am very interested in starting some overlanding/ off-roading with my family. I have a 3rd Gen TRD Sport, live in the snow belt and will likely see trails, hydro cuts and logging roads mostly.

    So based on that the 3rd choice I have recently come across are these;

    Yes I know pro comp. just hear me out. Canada is not cheap right now for mods with the dollar. These are 2.75" Coilovers have decent specs and are affordable. I have them sourced as a package with uniball UCAs.

    Price wise it will be Fox, Pro Comp followed by the Bilstein kit. I am wondering if performance would basically follow the same order. I would go pretty mild on any option and look for about 1.5" of travel either way. I don't want to max everything out and cause issues, my truck drives beautifully right now. The sport shocks just leave a lot to be desired as soon as the going gets a bit rough. Not even sure I need UCAs but like having the option.

    Thoughts?

    Try @HeadStrong Off-Road. Check out the OME with Dakar's. Relatively cheap on price but a great setup.

    I have talked to Marie and she has been very helpful with options. The problem comes when it's time to price out with shipping to Canada. The price grows exponentially and duties and taxes across the border really sucks. The three listed above are available from Canadian retailers with free shipping blah, blah, blah.

    Thanks for the response. Maybe I can find OME up here from somewhere.

    I have the 6112/5160 combo. Going to upgrade to the Fox level 2 kit for the easier adjustability up front.

    You're forgetting Toytec maybe? Similarly priced etc. I feel you on Canadian prices though. I went wit the Toytec kit and am very happy. Where in Canada are you. You could order to the states and then pick it up if you're close to the border. I ended up going through a local shop as they were able to match the price I would have got with shipping it to the states and getting it myself.

    Good luck :)

    Did you go 2.5? I am just super torn. I love the idea behind the 6112 but also love the idea behind the added adjustability of a real Coilover. I can get to the border within about 2 hours. Could be an option.

    I went 2.0 but with remote reservoir in the back. I was also debating 6112, but ended up going with Toytec. Not really any reason behind it, just decided that's the route I wanted to go :p
