Yes, I was watching the game when he threw the chair- it was against Purdue. I went to I. U. for a couple of years, my freshman year was '75-'76 when they were undefeated and beat Michigan for the national championship; eventually got my degree at Purdue, so I'm sort of torn when both teams play each other.

Remembered seeing this tread awhile back. I've been working on this project with the family I rent from and their friend who's from China where we make instructional videos for American boardgames. Check it out if you're interested - I'd like to hear some games that you think would be good that you don't see on the site already as well

    Pretty interesting videos.

Good to use an outline that helps the characters to stand out.

I saw in the earlier videos that there were some head space issues you seemed to address on later videos.

I also noticed some white balancing inconsistencies in this one video. In the above shot, the table cover is white. In here, there's a yellow tinge.

Are you using various light sources? Such as incandescent, fluorescent... all mixed in? I wasn't able to tell if you were using a light kit. If not, it may be beneficial to pick one up.

I noticed in this shot, the covering a good white color, good color skin tones, and vibrant colors.

All in all, it looks like the group is having fun and able to easily make banter without having it feel forced

For shots like this, maybe some game paraphernalia may be beneficial. I'm not saying put up decorations based upon the game your playing. But even something simple like having the box/container of the game you're playing being displayed on the table.

Another near idea. Look at putting up a board on the front of the table where the camera is showing. That way it acts like a privacy screen, plus you can create a poster, or general sign to advertise 17wanzy.

Don't know how many of you are into mini wargaming (played a TON of 40K and WHFB in college). If you enjoy skirmish, check out http://shootnskedaddle.blogspot.com/

My best friend in college created this system and is selling it on game crafter. It's super fun. Just need some wild west models, and some "buildings"

I forgot to post this a week ago. But I got some new games in. Two from Kickstarter, and one being an impulse buy. Bureaunauts is a game that was developed by one of my friends. He even did the artwork.

All great ideas. Thank you. I got on them about lighting throughout the first season. I think they'll finally buy some for this year. Editing was done by other people - I didn't have enough time. You're dead on about all of the points you made to make the videos seem more professional. Here's a video I edited and recorded (with a song that the kids helped write lyrics to put to music written by my friend in the video with the black wig) to give you an idea of what I could make the videos look like if they would take some of my suggestions (and now yours!). Thanks again. I'll pass on the information!

It's been a long time since I cracked open a board game to play with friends. I haven't even played simple ones like Love Letter or Coup  . Hopefully that'll change next weekend. Hell, this weekend if I can.

Sadly I painted more than I played, but I have a few 40k marine armies. Digging the solid paint work, somehow this sort of painting seems to relaxes me. Painting faces though is something I never look forward to.

@greeneggsnspam Firefly is a fantastic game, albeit very long. I noticed you have betrayal and house on the hill. I have it, and have been wanting to play it for a long time, but usually don't have the people to play it :(. i also like munchkin and forbidden island.

I love it. It goes pretty fast now that more friends know how to play it. It's way shorter than BSG.

And I'm not allowed to play HotH until halloween week. My buddies got burnt out on it :(

If you ever get the chance to play this, its actually pretty good. along the lines of candyland type strategy game. it really does get bonkers by the end of the game esp with 4 people playing.

    I know that feel.

People have mentioned playing on Tabletop Simulator on Steam, but I can't really get the mouse mechanics down on it. Perhaps if a DM who ran the game also controlled the board, I'd be down.
