Looks like you answered your question already! I am stoked to really wheel this thing this summer I only had a month or two last year with lots of bugs to work out still.

You are a lot braver than I am. I have not installed bead locks yet in my truck because I am too lazy to deal with them LOL.

Your truck looks great. She is wide now!

They were honestly pretty easy to deal with, Trail Ready makes a good product and I'm sure that took away a lot of the headache. I'm searching for a good set of used 35" A/T to put on my old wheels for street driving. I'll throw the locks and 37s on before trips, this is my only vehicle so I'm trying to limit useless miles I put on the MTRs

I sold it to Cody the guy who built my truck, he needed a vehicle and I had one! It's still "in the family"

Good to know about the Trail Ready bead locks. Thanks for the quick review on them...I might consider them when the time comes for me to stop being a lazy ass and get bead locks lol

Also... with 40"s I will need to get a 2nd set of tires/wheels. I ain't gonna be driving those tires with bead locks all over the place...they are too damn expensive to be burning rubber around town.

My thoughts exactly, tires are very expensive I would much rather be burning up some
all terrains. Plus I am realllllly curious how fast it will feel with 35s lol.

With 2 people we mounted each tire in about 20 minutes per. Really it wasn't that bad, I was hesitant everyone likes to say how hard it is. Just make sure you have everything before you start and it shouldn't be an issue. Also plan ahead TR took about 5 wheeks to ship, I got them through Filthy, they have the best price and free shipping.

Only issue to report is a slightly bent steering ram skid plate and a leaking steering box! Other than that she works great!

She works well, chasing steering system gremlins still, trail gear box won't stop leaking, also replacing the ram clamp with some ears welded to the tie rod. Other than that and some beadlock vibrations the truck was flawless. She will go anywhere you want her to. It funny my buddy was used to being in short wheel base early toyotas. He was spotting me and kept being amazed at what this truck could do. I couldn't be happier!

Awesome! Looks great, really makes me want to get my axles done lol!! I've always had better results with tabs for the ram instead of the clamp also, you lose the adjustability, but once you have everything in the right place you shouldnt need to be adjusting the ram position anyways.

Man that situation with the TG steering box makes me a bit nervous. I had the same issue with the one I ordered...it already when back to TG for replacement under warranty once. If/when mine starts leaking again I will just pull it apart and rebuild it myself. At the time of the build nobody had one in stock so I bought from TG.

Glad to hear the truck is performing well. You have an awesome rig man - especially those bad ass axles:thumbsup: Really cool wheeling pics, thanks for sharing!

For the tg box. I recently got one and when I put it on the first few weeks it leaked. Topped off the power steering with some stop leak ps fluid and hasn't leaked since.

Please report if you get any negative things from using that stop leak fluid thing. Heck, if it works really good I might need to give it a try.

Seems to be a common trend. TG box here as well, sector shaft leaked, although not a ton with the Amsoil fluid (HA).

If its the lower sector shaft seal leaking for you guys too...these are the part #s.
Sector Shaft Seal: Toyota Seal, Type V Oil: 90312-36001
Sector Shaft Seal: National/Timken Seal: 223400

Damn...is TG even aware of this??

Thanks for the info on the parts #!!

Have you had more issues after changing the seal or did that solve all your problems?

Doesn't bother me. Just used whatever ps fluid oreillys sells and got a quart of the stop leak one and haven't had any problems. It's still a remanufactured part under a lot of stress if you crawl a lot. I used the same stuff in the last box that leaked like crazy and it actually slowed it down a lot.

Yup that's why there were not tabs from the get go, everything was fresh and the clamp did end up getting moved a few times. Now we have the steering stops dialed in, also I swapped An old box for the Tg one and it gained some steering which is weird? Next stop is maybe have it fixed under warranty and then tabs.

Thanks dude! I just saw that trail gear is making a new box with a manufactured housing.

    http://www.trail-gear.com/product/5366/power-flow-ifs-steering-box

Most of my leakage is from the front facing hose fitting, they put it right in the goddam TOYOTA lettering so the fitting can't get flat, it's a cheap fitting to begin with. Took it out and it's got the right pipe dope on it, tight as tight can be and it still fucking leaks.

Mine has a tiny tiny leak all the time from the fitting and a little from the input shaft but it starts to piss fluid when I'm off-road, from the stress no doubt.
