I'm not a completely new member as I joined to use this forum for research ahead of the potential purchase of a Tacoma. I ended up settling on a CPO 2013 Texas Edition DCSB Prerunner SR5 (not sure if I got the order of that right).

I say displaced car guy because I swore I would never drive a truck. The first car I bought myself that was more than a cheap appliance was a 2004 GTO. I went from that to a Mazdaspeed 3 for the rear doors after we had a kid. I finally gave in to the functionality of a truck, mostly because I need the utility to hopefully get a BBQ business off the ground. The Tacoma is the perfect vehicle for a guy like me. I'm getting used to driving it, but so far I'm really pleased with the vehicle.

Here is a picture of the truck. I will keep it mostly stock with the exception of a few convenience mods (tonneau cover, bed lights, etc.).

If you like talking BBQ, whiskey, or Dallas Mavericks, I'm definitely your guy!

Looking forward to working my way in to the community.

Nice truck OP! "I will keep it mostly stock", I laughed so hard I nearly pissed down both pant legs.

I've noticed a trend of that around here .

Time will tell. I'll be sinking a lot of money in to the BBQ trailer. Well, whatever is left after taking care of my two daughters, anyways.

Lots of excellent ideas on this forum and some stunning trucks. The temptation will be strong, for sure!

Thanks to everyone else, as well!
