Yeah, lead time would be a few weeks once it's all done. I need to see how they are packaged and how they arrive stateside to gauge how feasible a GB is.

I've got a CVT awning that I can use but I too am not a fan of the poles to the ground with little ones running around.

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
This was my major concern since my little ones have repeatedly face planted after tripping on the guy lines or the poles.

Ive been talking to ARQ on Insta for awhile now regarding a 4ft awning... Have almost pulled the trigger a couple times. great prices, great craftsmanship, but no poles.. Makes me worried for rain/snow. Granted.. Its really just meant for shade.. And it does that very well, but why not get you something that can do both. That's the only reason I havent picked one up yet.. Can't decide.

The wrap around awning is slanted to let rain run off. Snow would be an issue. Good point. Luckily, it doesn't snow here too often

Most of the use that this thing would see with me is the sun and some wind. I do think that the weight of snow, especially for several days, would be an issue for the awning if not cleared off daily.

Worst case you just grab a branch or something and prop up the middle. At least for me anyways if I went with the regular 4ft.

I converted my headunit to run off of a galaxy tab 7 a couple months back and I love it so far... They sell it in an 8in model too, but the 7 was what i needed to make everything fit for my setup.

My buddy has one and well....he says it's cheap for a reason and tells people not to get it. Plus it took like 2-3 months for it to ship.

He said it's super flimsy and falls down sometimes. Not all the time, but he said he'll keep it because it's better than nothing so

It's a piece of canvas attached to some pivoting and telescoping arms. It's cheap. I'm sure it's not going to be perfect but I'm not looking for that at the price point.

Looking forward to input from those you have also ordered.

Is he on the forum where he could explain? I'm a little confused as to how it could fall down...

Actually, the iPad does - or rather can have expandable storage.

Look at an iXpand flash drive from SanDisk. I just got one, as I am starting to use Gaia nav/map software.

I don't know if Gaia can use the maps on the drive - maps might need to be copied back and forth. But, my drive is 128 G - I shouldn't run out of room.

I was quoted 125 shipped for a 4ft.. Interested to see if you think they are worth that price point. Even just for shade... Hard to turn down the price.
