Visited an ARE dealer yesterday and I was told not to use the shell for RTT because of composite bed. Shop tech mentioned that even with reinforced lid from ARE, not to go that route. I know I can use the cab for RTT, but want to know what others have done.
If you have an RTT on your shell, please share your thoughts.

    Cheers

I have a RTT on a Leer Cap & wheel the fuck out of it. Zero problems.
They've got their heads up their asses if they think it can't be done.
Tons of pics in my build thread if you'd like examples.

What's the title on that thread homer? Tried searching and found the car thread, not the taco. Well, except for the back seat car charger plug.

The prinsu toprac for my ARE V-series is getting delivered today. RTT is going up there shortly after. If you're worried about the strength of the bed, invest in some of these.

I've been looking into this. Might be good to add the bed stiffeners.
