Anyone tied footwell/underbody lighting into the dome lights?

i wanna put some plain/oem-looking lighting under the sides of the truck and in all for footwells inside the truck. I dont want anything fancy, i only want them to come on with the dome lights. i found kits from opt7 for it but i was hoping someone here may have done it already and have some pointers, thanks.

I have wired in a foot well setup using the opt7 aura kit. I have it set to orange as my truck is inferno. Works great and looks good pretty bright to at night it throws out enough light to light up the ground outside. I followed the directions from the thread posted above to tap into the dome light in the driver's a piller. One thing I will say about it is there is a slight delay before they come on. When opening a door the dome light comes on instantly then the foot wells about 2-3 seconds later. No one else has ever noticed (or they just don't say anything) but I pay attention to the details.
