Hey Bob, missed you in Joshua Tree this weekend. I saw that you were going to be there and spent some time in camp looking for the FWC, not realizing you had already taken it off.

Now knowing you were the alarm in the middle of the night, turns out I was camped about 30 feet away from your group the whole time.

Next time...

 

I thought you said you were going to be there. Sorry for the rude awakening...that's literally the first time the alarm has gone off in that truck...duh. I pulled the FWC off to get it all cleaned up for sale. I'm meeting the buyer up in Medford in a couple weeks. Sorry I missed you, definitely hook up next time!

 

Not rude awakening at all. I usually sleep in 1.5-2 hour increments when camping. I'm a light sleeper as is and was up walking around at night most of the time. It was quite peaceful once everyone shut down their camps and turned all their lights off. Reminded me why I love the desert.
You might have seen me actually. I was in my hammock strung between a buddy's truck and my own off the front bumpers. Someone's kid ran into it at night when he was walking through to get back to his parents- he couldn't see it (black hammock). Almost clotheslined himself.
