I have been reading on here about people taking their trucks in for the latest transmission updates and having fluid level checked, which seems a lot of trucks have been low. My question is this. If a person was to go buy a brand new 2017 tacoma would it be safe to say it would have the correct transmission fluid level and the latest update, or is toyota still shipping defective vehicles out to dealerships?

I got to drive an automatic 17 right off the lot, it was so shift happy it wasn't funny, if it had current updates then I would hate to imagine how much worse the prior programming was. It would probably be best to have the Dealer check it to verify what it has.
