How to download repair manual from TIS

The toyota information system contents toyota vehicle repair manual which used to be PDF links, it's now chm mode which is only webpages. I am trying to download the manual for my vehicle in two days and here is the fastest way I figured out.

Please share if you have better idea. I can't make those hyper-link work since they all became image in the pdf files.

    Tools you will need

    Firefox

    PDFCreator

    TIS login account ($15/2 days)

Install PDFCreator, create a new profile, change the Auto-save option; Change the filename to <Title>, update the directory for auto-save. You need create a new printer to use this new profile, which can auto save your pdf to particular folder.

Login TIS and open the repair manual, for the first page, make sure you selected the new PDFCreator printer as your current printer and print your first page, double check the pdf file at the auto-save folder and make sure that fits you want. I took the footer and header off so it looks much nicer.

For firefox, type “about:config” in the address bar and add print.always_print_silent as Boolean and set it to true.

Now, for each page you click on the left, there is a print icon on the top right corner, click that will print a new pdf file to the auto-save folder. For each page, you will need two clicks to save to pdf format.

Go through all your pages and hit the printer icon. You should be able to download the repair manual in couple hours. The PDF files will have the full text title in the pdf file name, which you can easily search.

If you need the complete repair manual , just send me a pm with your e mail addy

I got my two vehicles' repair manual done in 7 hours.

Not trying to repost the same thing in different places but felt it was relevant here. I posted this below 10 min ago in the Tranny TSB sticky.......smugly thanks for the new TSB info greatly appreciated.

I have to share my experiences and opinion........Picked up my 2017 DCOR roughly a month ago. After a week or so I had the 2nd gear to 3rd gear slipping-surging. I called my local dealership and asked about the TSB, she wasn't aware of one asked me the TSB number and found it. The first week I felt it was better until I got on a highway. The truck is constantly still shifting between 6th and 4th there is literally no 5th gear it's weird. My gas mileage is below 15, constantly shifting, and tacking over 3,000 at 70mph most of the time which is ridiculous. What I have recently been doing which I have found to be much better is not even put the truck in D. I put it in S right away and switch to 6, this is a work around I have found to help with gas mileage and drivability. I do not feel I should have to do this for a decent driving experience and better gas mileage though.

My gut is Toyota knows something is up with the AT tranny and they just messed with the gearing as a band aid.

when I was there about 4-6 months ago for my last oil change there wasn't an update at that time, and I'd already had one update done when they fixed the low tranny oil issue that a lot of us had experienced. (and my oil was that 3/4 quart low)

No.. wasn't talking to you. It was directed to OP . I deleted because I didn't want to write the same thing in the other 7 threads that were starting this morning about the same thing... didn't seem fair to pick on one guy... when clearly starting threads about the exact same thing on a daily basis is the norm around here ;)
