Ordered Sunday and already have the panel and everything wired up. This is an awesome product! Gonna be so much fun while night wheeling and camping. +1 Nathan!

Try doing that with a bunch of rocker switches, relays, fuses, and random wire running around. Glad it worked out for you Kase. What are you controlling with your NSA?

I'm not so sure my boxes would withstand submersion. I'd have to build a new box if we're going to go to that extreme.

That's just nuts! I was going to say that it's just "fishing", but I'm guessing these guys are making a living off of it, so more power to them.

Good point. The box will survive a good amount of water. It would be nice to not have to cut in holes to mount switch panels.

It's in my signature. Did you try searching Trail Toys and not find it? That would be good information for me to know if so.

If for some reason you wanted an additional/backup physical switch for one of your accessories, could you just tap into the lead wire for your accessory coming out of the NSA switch panel with a physical switch/power?

It won't work like that. You'd have to have a completely separate switch, power, and relay. You'd also want to put some sort of diode in line with both switches so you don't back feed either one.

I'm really liking this option and thinking about ordering it. I really don't like running wires through my firewall, but I'm also an electrical newb. I have a couple of questions though for those who've installed it.

    - Besides the actual kit itself, what else do you have to buy to install? It looks like: a circuit breaker, 4 gauge wiring, 4 gauge crimp terminals, extra wiring to run to each accessory, extra butt connectors, and then optionally a bus bar for grounds, wiring loom, and maybe others? Is that the full list? Since I'm not very experienced wiring, it's a little intimidating to have to pull so much stuff together that's not in the kit.

    - Does the kit come with easy to follow instructions?

    - Is there any kind of warranty in the case of a failure or if one of the relays or something spontaneously combusts? One of the nice things about the big name like Spod is that I'm sure there's a warranty/insurance if something bad happens.

    Here's your shopping list.

    • 150Amp circuit breaker or fuse
    • 4gauge crimp terminals (There's plenty of wire length to reach the battery if you place the NSA near your fuse panel)
    • 14 gauge hot wire for accessories that are outside the 4' length of wire the kit comes with.
    • Ground all of your accessories to the chassis as close to the accessory as possible, no need for a buss bar.
    • Wire connectors

Instructions are fairly simple. Run power to the box via the 4gauge wire. Ground the box with the black wire in the wiring harness, then run the red power wires to all of your accessories. It's that simple.

I'm too small of a company to offer a big warranty. I cover issues as they come up, which isn't very often at all. Be sure you look up the big name warranties before you assume you're covered.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Ok awesome thanks. Would you suggest just cutting in half the existing 4 gauge wire coming out of the box and using half to connect to the fuse box and the other half to connect to the battery? Cable looks think hopefully my cutter would work haha.

How did you hook up the power to the winch?

That's exactly what I did when I installed mine. My wire cutters weren't up to the task so I used bolt cutters. :D

Run a hot lead to the solenoid power in and a second to the solenoid power out.

I'm finally getting around to wiring everything up this weekend, and I realized my wire isn't 14 gauge it's 16 gauge :( I'm only wiring up LED scene lights and a 40" single row light bar, so do you think this wire I bought a while back will be sufficient?

You'll have to look at how many amps the light will pull, then at how many amps the wire can handle.
