Obviously, I want a mix between price and performance, but if you guys had to run one of these in Alabama (mud/dirt/sand terrain) which one would you pick? Also, do you see any problems with any of the setups or anything that needs to be changed/added into it?

Get rid of the nerf steps for starters.

Yeah they aren't for me, they're for my dad. Can't get rid of them

Get rid of the wheel spacers, they can screw shit up. But everyone has there own experiences. Just get rims with different offset backspace etc, get rid of the nerf bars and get sliders with fill plates which double as a step.
Both tires are great. I prefer duratracs for mud and snow. Heres my .02

You know what, screw the nerf steps I think I am gonna get rock sliders. I have a step ladder my dad can use to get in the truck. How much backspacing and Like 4.5" and -6? Any wheels you would specifically suggest? I'm on a budget, attempting to keep everything around 4 grand or less

You do realize you can use rock sliders as a step, too, right? It's obviously not as low as a tube step or predator/nerf bar though.

Yeah, like I said the steps are only for my dad. He wouldn't be able to lift his leg high enough to use it as a step, bad arthritis in his knees.

Nerf bars are OK just not good for rock crawling. If I wanted to rock crawl I'd be driving a Jeep like I used to... and still managed to fuck shit up.

-6 backspace will work but not sure about the 285 size there, you will need to cut and chop I think, why I don't have that size tire.

Aren't you going to need UCA's with the 887 coils?? I did not with the 885's.

4.5" bs with zero offset on 285 75 16 worked well for my truck. No rubbing. I'd save your pennies and get the BP-51 kit. Buy once, cry once. I'm now running the 3.50bs wheels with -25mm offset and I had to do a body mount chop and trim my fenders. Looks much better

    @bobrown14

Honesty I have no idea if I'll need the uca's with the 887 coils, I'll have to look into that. There's a good chance that it's going to be one of the first two setups I have listed with 255/85/16 tires which will be pizza cutters, but hey I shouldn't have to trim. Don't want to void the warranty on the truck by trimming. I honestly think I could run a 255/85/16 with no running as long as I have the OME lift on it. If I do need uca's for it though then the skinny tires would help cover a lot of that money.

FYI, backspace and offset are the SAME measurement. You have to know the rim width, otherwise BS/offset don't mean a damn thing, either.
Stick with 266/85, unless you want to trim

Did you mean 255/85? Never heard of a 266/85

You spent over 30k on a new truck... I'm not saying any of the above set ups aren't going to be nice, but why not wait and invest in a better kit.

Mainly because I'll get my money back when I sell the truck, but not for the mods. Tacomas hold value really well

Oh I know. My last 2 new vehicles I made money on. 2015 TRD sport and my 2016 Pro 4runner. If that's the case, you could always put an inch larger, more aggressive tire on your truck without modification. You'll still have the stock feeling. It'll look nice and you save $. From the sounds of it, you don't do any trails? Mainly looking for a larger tire for looks? I'll dig up a photo of my last tacoma. I thought it sat nice and did great on old logging roads and when we went snow wheeling.

No I do trails, the truck will be like 75% on road and 25% off-road though.
