I called Toyota again today and talked to a tech, he said they can not recommend it because drilling in the bed can cause the bed to start cracking overtime. He said there are documented cases where this has happened. I might go this route if I don't get the expensive ass tire gate.

Bump, any issues with the bed cracking or anything? I want this setup, my straps are really cutting it, I want my spare to be more secure. I figure I could use this and my straps, which come off of the bed bolts, to really hold my spare down!

Sweet, is it right on their website? Edit: I found it, under applications. I looked into these before, but forgot the price, did you get a price? I found a non-composite version for $150, wondering where else might have it.

lol, you are just helpful on all of my posts!! Thanks! :headbang:

Nice, I just emailed them. Do you have any shots of it installed, if you did that yet?

Just to double check, if you did get it installed, could you see if the handle sits below the bed rails? I want to retain use of my tonneau cover.
